My story is a long one, but here’s the very shortened version.
I phoned Avast Support weeks ago about an error message I was receiving tryng to complete an order for a photobook. The error was to do with my security according to the photobook company. I called Avast where the guy took remote control of my laptop and after a pretty lengthy phone call told me I needed a clean up because my laptop had viruses etc. So, I went ahead with the £80 clean up because He was suposed to be the expert (?). Of course, it didn’t solve my problem. When I called to say I still had the problem no-one was interested and quite frankly no-one seemed to have a clue about very much!
I submitted a ticket almost 4 weeks ago to complain about the service I’d received and asking for a refund and the only thing I’ve had back is an email asking for a phone number, which was already submitted.
It’s the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and I’ve experienced some pretty bad ones.
I need someone to resolve the initial problem and address the fact that I was told to buy something I’ve seen no benefit from. It’s called ‘conning people’
The information and suggestion given by Asyn in Post #2 is the quickest and most effective way of getting resolution.’
