Hello. This day 21/09/2021 I just answered an Avast survey whose domain name is in the title.Did you have the same thing for some of you?
Thank you
Hi,
Could you please clarify if you received this survey from Avast via email or was this link detected/blocked by Avast?
Could you perhaps PM (personal message) me the full URL?
@ r@vast
The page doesn’t load, when trying to connect directly, so no avast alert.
I didn’t copy the full link, unfortunately it ended with fr, I’m French, this survey didn’t ask me for any personal data, this request from Avast in the notification area asked me if I wanted to answer this survey, it asked me for permission to keep the data for a year, the questions lasted 28 minutes, there were all types of questions, the people in the house, the suites of protection used, the trackers used, the cleaner, if I am satisfied with the free of charge, if a protection should be final or if I wanted to finish it myself by setting it etc.
I passed the link of the domain name to virustotal, nothing to say, Avast did not block anything since (apparently) it comes from Avast
:-\
Yes, it’s true the page doesn’t load, I checked, unfortunately I didn’t think to copy the complete link.
Here is my Avast analysis table :
Do I need to run a full scan and then an Avast startup scan?
Thanks
Strangely enough, I recently got an avast antivirus notification (toaster style popup, bottom right of the screen) about taking part in a survey, not thinking I declined it.
But if this is what you got it would appear to be genuine.
Hello and thank you for the feedback David R.
Well … anyway I updated Avast, then I did the two tests indicated above. I attach the two results. Nothing to report
I’m not really sure why you ran the two tests/scans ?
Whilst thy appear to come out clean, the errors in themselves isn’t an indication of malware, just that some files couldn’t be scanned.
These .cab files (Cabinet, highly compressed files), may not be able to be unpacked in order to be scanned, but throws up that error code.
I don’t think in visiting that survey site would have been suspect/malicious otherwise I would have expected the Web Shield to alert.
Hi,
I can confirm that this survey you received via toaster pop-up is from Avast (the survey is managed by an external company dynata.com).
