Avast System Icon is missing(Glitch)

Some times when i go to core shields the System Icon is not there.but after i close GUI and reopen it act normal.See the pic.

I think i am able to reproduce this glitch.
Go to desktop icon of avast double click to open avast GUI/UI next go to Protection tab click to open next goto Core Shields and click there you see the glitch.

Program version:19.1.2360 (build 19.1.4142.0)
UI Version:1.0.323

Comparison pic is listed below.(Normal & glitch one)

Hi, I’m on UI version 1.0.324.

Now i’m on Old Setting UI…What is going on with avast system UI? ???
But avast GUI is same.

No idea, I’m still on the new UI here. :-\

Weird after repair and reboot avast back to New system UI but UI Version is 1.0.316 :o
Do i need a clean reinstall? :-\

It is updated to UI Version:1.0.323 and not to UI version 1.0.324.I think avast is releasing it phase wise.

I also have the same version and am told everything is up to date.

Sorry, I don’t have or use the desktop icon only the system tray icon.

Glitch is confirmed.

Double-clicking the desktop icon shows the following behavior:

  • Once the GUI is opened, clicking Core Shields under Protection results in a delay of up to 10 seconds before the window is populated but minus the ‘gear’ icon for Settings window. The gear icon never appears. Clicking for the GUI via avast system tray and then following the same steps shows no glitch and the Settings gear icon is present at all times
  • Also noted during install process that the standard avast icon on the desktop was removed (Clean install here) and not re-installed when installation was complete

Bug is similar in some ways to Bank Mode issue discussed elsewhere in the forum.

I had to manually create a shortcut for Avast on the desktop.

I have 19.1.2360 (build 19.1.4142.0) and UI version 1.0.323.
Core Shields via double click desktop icon, then “gear wheel” is missing top right.
Core Shields via tray icon, then “gear wheel” is present.
Seems consistent and repeatable.
