I have just converted to Avast Free having tried just about every other AV
I have Windows 7 on my computer.
I have just one question.
Will “System Restore” work correctly with Avast installed.
I know it sounds a stupid question but with every other AV i have tried “System Restore” just does not restore unless i do it in safe mode

Short answer yes.
Though I don’t have much faith in system restore anyway, I use drive imaging software to make an exact copy of the partition, drive, etc. as a replacement to system restore which I disable and save lots of hrad disk space.

I think System Restore must have been invented before Malware had become such a huge problem.

It’s always more likely to be successful if ran from Safe Mode

With all the other AV i have tried it says the system has not been restored.Try disabling the AV is the message that pops up,I have tried that.It dosn’t work either
It’s not because i am a fan of system restore but sometimes it is necessary and i like things to work correctly and not be affected by other programs
