Avast system tray icon

Running Windows XP, Service Pack 3 on Dell E510 w/ avast! Internet Security v 6.0.1000 This computer has been rebooted several times this week since I noticed the following–
This week (April 11 or so) have noted system tray avast icon ball is orange with white speckles–why?
The avast icon ball on my other networked Windows XP, Service Pack 2 on Dell Dimension 2400 w/ same avast! Internet Security version and license has an all orange ball for system tray icon.
Please explain. Thanks! (Just want to be sure nothing is amiss).

Thank you Gargamel360 and bob3160 Found the solution in the link Gargamel360 posted. Forgot I had switched from 32-bit to 16-bit color when I was having problems w/ slow Firefox 4. Switching back to 32-bit color fixed the avast! icon ball color.

The problems w/ FF4 were a blessing. Since I switched over to Opera this week, am loving it and am telling others about it.

Thanks again.

If Firefox 4 was slow then obviously something is either wrong with your pc or install of Firefox. Firefox 4 is extremely fast.

Sure, glad to help

Yeah if you can live without that sea of add-ons, Opera is a great alternative. I mean, extensions are there on Opera, but have a long way to go to even resemble something with the depth and quality of Fx’s library. Perpetually indecisive, I use both.
