I have found the need to contact AVAST tech support (1-806-438-9586) since upgrading to the Internet Security version. I am wondering if i’m really contacting AVAST of some 3rd party support group (would be my guess). I’ve only called this number a few times, but each time i feel they are not helping me and resort to trying to sell me services ($179) which i feel i don’t need. For example, the last time i spoke to them, they remote controlled my PC and told me i had malware on it that they would remove for a fee of course. Strange thing is, i ran a full system scan and no threats were found. I really believe the support i’m looking for is not there and they are only interested in selling their service.
Have any of you had similar experiences and what do you recommend w.r.t. to this tech support?
