Did you read the comments at the bottom of the article? Seems the tester missed some critical points during the “testing” and posted flawed results. Always know where the information comes from … :
This isn’t directly Matousec’s tests, but some sort of mishmash grouping of tests. Before this I had never heard of this SpyShelter.
The Matousec’s tests have been contentious for many, many years is it is basically HIPS and if your firewall doesn’t have it built in regardless if your AV does it is testing only the firewall component.
The rest of the tests I haven’t got a clue about as I couldn’t find any specifications/methodology about how the tests are run.

You are right, Avast passes kill5 test even though it kills its process.
I just went back to the Avast Premier test after reading your comment. I actually missed the fact that Avast’s services bring the Avast application up. It’s services can’t be killed using kill5 test, so I updated the results.
