Avast tells me I should delete Malwarebytes

I just edited my free Avast, getting rid of Safezonebrowser, and during that process Avast tells me that it is not a good idea to have two antivirusprograms running at the same time, and that I should delete Malwarebytes.

I have Malwarebytes installed, but not running on startup. I only use Malwarebytes occasionally, so why would avast suddenly tell me to delete it?

I thought Malwarebytes and Avast worked well together.

Is there a conflict between these programs?

They do work together but MBam is not just a “pup” scanner anymore and that is what triggers avast to display that message.
