Hi avast, I’m new to this forum. I recently downloaded avast! and scanned my computer and it found 2 infected files. I tried moving them to the chest but it seems that the files specified cannot be found. I went directly to the folders and check and none of them is there. I used Malwarebytes and it seems that there isn’t any viruses anymore but avast! is still detecting the 2 files. Please help me, thank you.
What are the infected file names, where was it detected e.g. (C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx) ?

Sorry for the late reply.
Have you actually checked the Chest to see if these files are there ?
I checked and those two files isn’t in there.
That is weird, as normally files not being found relate to files inside archive/installation files and if the archive file is moved to the chest if the file can’t be extracted from the archive. Then the file wouldn’t be found as the parent archive was removed, but in this case I don’t have an answer for you.
Now I’ve tried going into the folder again but it seems that I am unable to open the folder.
it is direct link library files that active from restore point sometimes its gone when do not have communication from restore point or process terminated. it is a process mechanism that has a hidden properties (temporary running at a time of restoration) maybe the executable file is already gone and the restore is trying to restore the file(s) so .dll mechanism appear in you desktop. run the boot time scan can help. but seem the restore point has been remove the process is terminated also so it will gone
Regards!!!
