Avast thinks my rooted phone is unrooted...

Hi,

I installed avast! Mobile Security and Anti-Theft on my girlfriend’s LG Optimus L3 (E400). The phone is rooted and running a custom ROM (CyanogenMod 9), Android version 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). I tried to edit some settings in the anti-theft app that are available only for rooted phones, but they are disabled, as if the phone is not rooted.

What’s the problem?

not only the phone needs to be rooted - Anti-Theft needs to be installed in rooted mode aswell.
please uninstall Anti-Theft (use the anti-theft-removal-wizard in mobile security’s settings) and reinstall in advanced mode. you can select rooted installation there.

Ah, thank you! I only noticed the “download from Google Play” option. Small screen on L3, didn’t scroll down to the end…
