avast time out

could some one please help me out,
I keep getting this message window popping up
and i don’t know what it means or what i should do ? ???

               avast:  connection time out
     internet connection time out elapsed. continue waiting ?
    (MSIMN.EXE.-> pop3 blue yonder.co.uk110 )

                            YES            NO

I’m using windows xp home,

I’ll be grateful for any help

Have you tried increasing the timeout delay in your email program and/or avast?

Were/are there and emails in the download with large attachments?
