I am getting this ‘timeout’ message from Avast:
“AVAST! Connection timeout
Internet connection timeout elapsed. Continue waiting?”
What does this mean?
I get this message when I have a PPC plugged in via USB. When the PPC is not plugged in, I do not get this message.

It sounds like this PPC thing is interfering with your internet connection.
Also some information as to what a PPC is would be most welcome.

A hand held computer (like a PDA).

Please use TCPView (http://www.sysinternals.com/files/tcpview.zip) when timeout message appears to find out what program established the timed-out connection (the one with State: ESTABLISHED and Remote Address: localhost:12110 or 12025).
