avast : too much effective

Hi, I’m french soo excuse-me for my bad english please. I will try too expose my problem : I think Avast is too much effective because when I want to click on a link (on the web, of course) Avast blocks the windows (there is an empty window or a white window, i don’t know how to say). How to configure Avast to regulate this problem ??

Are you sure it’s avast!'s fault? Try disabling Web Shield and browse the same page again.

Which is your operational system? Windows XP?
Do you use a firewall, which one?
To disable the Web Shield, like RejZor said, left click the ‘a’ blue icon, choose WebShield at left and click the Pause buttom.
