Avast tray icon disappears in Win 10

I just upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 and Avast Premier was installed before the upgrade (which worked fine afterwards). I upgraded to Premium after the Windows upgrade and started having problems almost immediately. I tried repairing Avast but that didn’t work. I then tried an uninstall with avastclear.exe and reinstall with avast_premium_security_setup_online.exe, which also didn’t work. I don’t have a tray icon and can’t open the Avast UI, but these background services are running: afwServ.exe, wsc_proxy.exe, AvastSvc.exe, aswidsagent.exe.

I’m running Windows 10 version 1909.

Well, I already said in my post that I tried a clean install.

The problem is fixed, anyway. A few more reboots fixed the problem. Thanks anyway.
