Avast trial time ended but can not return to free version.

I selected the free 30 days trial time but now it is ended i have no options to return to free version i had before.
Besides that Avast warns me that i am unprotected.
Should I re-install Avast AGAIN?
EDIT: I used the unistall/repair programms list and Avast instead of repair gave me the option to return to Free version.
Please could the developers add this option on the main UI panel as well?
Most users are noobies like me! :-[

You should get the option to keep using the free version when you go to uninstall Avast.

Main UI panel does not give that option but the “upgrade” options ONLY.

I can understand the advantage of the option being in the GUI but it’s easily found through the uninstall process or how Eddy has linked for you.

At the end of a trial there are usually 2 options:

  1. buy the paid version
  2. remove the expired trial.
    It therefore makes sense that when you decide to remove it, you’re offered the option to return to the free version.
    It really makes no sense to add the “return to free” option to the UI.
