AVAST turned off!

Although the avast icon is on the bar it is turned of. I tried to turn it on but it will not. Please help. Below is the highjack log.

While not an expert on these logs, by any means, an online analyzer came up with all green check marks.

Have you tried a repair. Control panel, add/remove programs/ highlight avast, remove button, scroll down to repair. You have to be on line to do this.

Or uninstall reinstall.

Uninstall via add/remove, reboot, run avast removal utility, reboot, reinstall.

If you cannot get Avast to run Download Superantispyware and check for any updates then run it in safe mode,

That line refers to Nvidia based graphics cards.

What do you mean by turned off ?
Do you mean it is a blue grey looking colour which is normal and will differe depending on your graphics, monitor, background colour?
Do you mean it has a Red circle with bar over the top of the avast ‘a’ icon ?

What did you try to turn it on ?

Probably the most important thing you haven’t got any O23 avast! services in your HJT log.

So avast isn’t running, apart from the avast icon, ashDisp.exe.

Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.
If that doesn’t work try, uninstall, reboot, install, reboot.

I would leave the HJT details alone they don’t present an immediate problem and deal with why avast isn’t running.

Yeah… the webpages seems clean and the HijackThis log seems clean also…
