Avast U3 renew question ?

Hi all,

I renew today my Avast U3 license for one year. I got the license file and all seem to be ok.
But, my last subscription end normaly 10/25/2007 and when I insert my new licence file … the dead end is always 10/25/2007

Why ? Is it normal ? Do I have to insertre my news license file only when the first license end ?

Sorry for my poor english I’m a french guy.

Hope to have some answers … I love Avast portable and i’m very disapointed

I would suggest you contact sales @ avast.com (without the spaces) and advise them of the problem. Giving the date you renewed, email address used, etc. anything that could help them track your renewal.

I am having the same problem, my expiration is in 2 weeks and the files keeps telling me it will expire on the renewal date.

Did anyone find a solution to this?

Yes people need to read previous posts and replies. Replies are those that could have answer to the initial question, so at least go through them.

I solved my problem by completely uninstalling U3 crap. I don’t need it, and now my USB stick has even more space and access to it is a lot quicker than before (when you plug it in, you don’t have to wait for that menu/utility to fire up any more). Besides, wherever I go I bring my laptop with me, so U3 had no use for me. I bought it just because it was a great deal at BestBuy… 30 and something bucks for 4 Gb super fast USB stick.

I know this doesn’t help a lot, but what can help is like David suggested in his first reply… follow his advice.

Yes I also paid $24 to renew my subscription which is due Dec 4, 2008
I insert the new license, both ways as suggested, but it does not change the deadline.
It does tell me that it has been accepted but it still keeps reminding me that it will expire.

Has anyone got a solution from Avast or ALWIL which is where I renewed on my Sandisk.

Try contacting sales (at) avast dot com explaining what you have done.

Well you are adding a post to a topic that was last active a year and a few days ago (28 Oct 2007), which is why I suggested sales (which you didn’t mention you had)
