Is there any plans for a personal edition (free :
) of the U3 avast edition. I have use the free edition on my Home PC for a couple of years. I realise development of these products do cost money, but would like a decent on demand scanner when things go wrong at home. It is going to be used rarely (hopefully not at all) so didnt really want to have to pay a subscription for it.
As far I know their plans, no, unfortunatelly not.

I joined when I started using Avast, as I do with most software vendors that have forums, but have had very little if any problems with it that I couldn’t sort out by myself, so never really needed to post before.
