I have the Premier version of Avast.
Since yesterday, Avast says that I’m not protected, and the UI always fails to load when I click the Avast icon in the tray.
I get the following error message:

Whenever I click the green “Restart Service” button, the UI opens, but when I restart my computer I get the same error again…
What can I do?

What avast version do you have, the latest is 18.2.2328 ?
I believe that should have resolved the Avast UI fails to load.
Have you tried an Avast Repair or a clean reinstall of avast ?

I have the latest version of Avast, and I changed the services properties according to the URL that Asyn sent.
It didn’t solve my problem, so I had to completely uninstall Avast and than re-install it.
Unfortunately, now I encounter another serious issue. When I try to run a “Smart Scan”, it crushes after a few seconds, and I get the following error:

I’m sorry that it’s not in English, my Avast interface is in Hebrew… This message says that Avast is not enabled, that something went wrong and that I’m not protected…
