Avast is unable to thorough scan the file windows\internetlogs\tvDebug.zip\tvdebug_… I suspect a hidden object or rootkit. How can I scan the file to detect and remove the virus?
Why are you saying avast can’t scan that file, what was the reason displayed?
Can you right click the file and choose the context menu to scan it.
I am going to guess that you have ZoneAlarm firewall OR have had ZA in the past on your computer.
This file … tvdebug … belongs to ZoneAlarm and is probably protected by ZA. This would be a good reason why it can not be completely scanned by avast.
Why do you suspect a hidden object or rootkit?
Please, can you tell us what virus you suspect?
See this google search done through ScanDoo …

Thanks, I have ZoneAlarm. According to the internet reference info you provided I can delete the tvDebug log. Will recheck with ZoneAlarm forum. My computer was hijacked. I switched to Avast and ran thorough scan. I deleted the virus items found with the scan, but also received a unable to scan list from Avast. One of those was tvDebug.zip with one unsual line item. The others were with programs I did not need so I deleted them since one of their logs was hijacked. Subsequently, after browsing this forum, I downloaded Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and quarantined the items it found including a trojan downloader agent. The tvDebug line remains, but I plan to delete it if I don’t need it. The war continues. Thanks for your help.
You are welcome and I am glad to have helped.
