Avast Uninstall Issue with Windows 10 Technical Preview (Build 9926)

Hi guys,

I had been using Windows 10 Technical Preview (build 9926) on my notebook. I wanted to play around with the Operating System and all. I performed an upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit to Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9926 (64-bit)

I thought Avast was working, but I noticed that the software does not update. When I want to uninstall the program (Through the “Uninstall a Program” window, it shows the Compatibility Issues Dialog. I go online and I download the avastclear.exe file… I tried running this in Compatibility mode for Windows 7 and that didn’t work. I downloaded a new copy of Avast and that didn’t work.

Is there any other way of uninstalling the antivirus?

The version of Avast that is installed on my PC is 2015.10.2208
