avast unnamed scan and after scan it just opens the opening scan menu

Hi,

                   I am using free avast and i have not chosen any unnamed scan, but it actually repeats every evening and after each scan, instead of the scan report, it opens up the scan page, the opening page of the scan. Should i delete unnamed scan? Is it default scan in the program itself? Please clarify

Try to delete it.
If that doesn’t work, try a repair and see if that is solving it.
Control panel > software > avast > change > repair.
Reboot after doing so.

You posted that it will be corrected in Sept 2014. It’s now Jan 2015. What is the status of getting rid of this “unnamed scan” nuisance. I own a Pro 2015 version and still have the same nuisance scan popping up every morning.

Did you try a repair? ???

Control Panel>Uninstall a Program>double click “avast”>click “repair”>reboot.

I’m not sure about the “un-named scan” but if you do not want the scan to “run” then go into its settings and under schedule, disable…or you can delete the scan itself.

There are two annoying bugs sort of related to this topic that have not been fixed…since no new update of Avast 2015 has come out since. One is after the “scheduled” scan runs the dialogue box is open on desktop. Also, more concerning is that sometimes the scan shows “Threat Detected” but if you go to Scan History you see the scan was fine. BOTH of these are random…an YES, very annoying.
