Avast unstable behaviour.

I have got problem since last release of new MS Win10 update. My Avast Pro Antivirus simply cuts with newly introduced Windows Defender. When it comes to the option of choosing which security programme I should use I can’t click the option for Avast - it does not work. When I try to switch on all Avast’s shields it asks me to restart computer and makes them active but after some time I get blue screen and after next system’s restart all the Avast’s shields (5) are inactive again without active option to switch them on.
Once I tried to change one of parameters in Avast settings and I got message to inactivate Windows Defender. Formally it shoud be inactivated by system after e.g. my decision to reswitch to Avast.
Why does it happen so and how to resolve this annoying and time consuming problem?
Can I still rely on Avast?

Download Avast Pro Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup_offline.exe
Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
Reboot.
