Hi Dawid47,
we would like to ask you to capture xperf logs and upload it to analysis.
-
Download xperf or wpa package it is win dependent so if you have win 10 download xperf for win 10 !
Here is a link https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2086042 and in “Select the featires you want to install” dialog keep checked only Windows Performance Toolkit !! -
Start cmd as admin and type to start profiling:
xperf.exe -on DiagEasy+DISPATCHER+Profile -stackwalk profile+CSwitch+ReadyThread -start user -on 72AA3505-D4D6-4527-A088-92534DA1082C -
Induce the issue !
-
Stop profiling
xperf.exe -stop user -stop -d _merged.etl -
Zip _merged.etl file as Dawid47_5_2019.zip and upload it to ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming
Thank you for report.
I can’t transfer zip file on FTP, says “Could not create a file”
Thats not working either
I can send _merged.etl but won’t allow me to send .zip file
Ok upload it as .etl file
Done. File name “Dawid47_5_2019_merged.etl”
Thank you for uploading
cpu is used by datascan task forwarded to dev team !
Any news about it? still eating cpu like crazy
Do Repair Avast:
- Avast GUI → Settings → Troubleshooting
- Click on ‘REPAIR APP’.
- Follow instructions.
- Reboot.
Done it many times, no results
You could try the latest beta: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=15
Just installed newst beta, same problem cpu usage at 30% idle

Hi,
here is what we know avastui.exe got stuck in offfiltx.dll (2006.1200.4518) which is a system dll. Other versions of offfiltx.dll seem to work properly.
Deleted corrupted one and replaced with newer, cpu at 0% load! Thank You!
