Avast update is blocked by Windows Firewall :(

Hi, I can’t check for updates unless I disable my firewall. I have added a new outbound rule for every single EXE file in the Avast folder and an inbound rule for AvastSVC.exe. Nothing works

I have no other security software running, only avastand Windows Firewall Control.

Any help will be appreciated.

You’ve to allow the following: AvastUI.exe, instup.exe, AvastSvc.exe und AvastEmUpdate.exe

Thanks, I didn’t have instup.exe allowed because it was inside another folder.

Yes instup.exe is legit and should be in the C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\Setup\instup.exe location.

Have you set your firewall to be less permissive than the default configuration? Just curious.
