avast update? no update on a whole day !?

hello last time my avast got updated was 2010-07-02 06:55:43?

that is verry long time ago !?

the date is now 2010-07-03 03:14:43.

and no update yet :open_mouth:

what’s your virus definition version, mine is 100702.1, got it yesterday at 4pm, nothing unusual ;D

How did you set the updates to be performed?
Are your proxy settings (into avast) correct? Set “No proxy”.

The same but why Avast say

Faster updates Free Avast, avast pro, Avast internet security

                    No yes yes

The minimum intervals currently are like this:

Free AV: 120 minutes ( = 2 hours)
Pro AV, IS: 15 minutes

Are it safer if avast like update every 5H or somthing like that and not 1 update per day?

avast checks for the presence/availability at whatever your update settings are default (4 hour interval) or if changes as little as 2 hourly checks.

So it doesn’t really matter what the interval there is no set number of updates per day, generally there are two update released per day, however it might only be one or it could be more than two updates.

It is obviously better to get any update within a reasonable time of its release/availability, rather than have only a 1 shot deal.

MY PROXY WON’T LET ME CHANGE TO ’ NO PROXY"

My settings are the same, and i have no problems with updates.

PS: My virus definition is 100702-1, updated half an hour ago. Released 2.7.2010 at 3:55:43 pm

I think uninstalling and reinstalling will help your issues, as Advast did an upgrade on 6/28 that affected some of the programs/applications.

what’s the thread about, that a noob would feel safe if he was getting updates on a 5 minutes interval basis? the thread should be deleted… There’s no serious question being asked. The OP is “complaining” that he had an update a few hours before posting here…complaint doesn’t make any sense… :D.
