hello iam new here but iam using avast for a log time now.lately i get a red message,that says tha avast cannot update csuse it cant connect to avast dowloaad.hepp please.thanks.
Make sure Avast has the correct permissions in your firewall.
well…i have the avast on the exeptions tab if thats what u mean…still nothing.i get a red mesage every day that was unable to connect to www.avast.download

What OS?

I’m having the same problem as green9 with a big red flag saying my clock has been changed, (which it had).
After fixing clock, still won’t accept registration, saying number is invalid.
I have no other security running, Altho’ last week I fired up search and destroy to search for bots and had a problem with a thing called Huron 55 which was stopping the scan half way.That was fixed with a later version
I’ve been using avast for a long time now and have not had any problems with downloading updates, the product has always been exemplary, thwarting many a virus and Trojans,
but now, I fear the worst has happened and something has snuck in under the radar.

It’s an antipiracy feature. It will be better register again and use a new key. If it does not work, uninstall avast and install it again using the new key.

if your clock changes it is very likely time to replace the cmos battery.
It is enough to insert key correctly, by using copy&paste. New registration is not needed.

When first registering Alwill email your reg. and say [b]"Cut&Paste"[/b] it into registration slot. This is the best way , as typing it is easy to make error.
