I keep getting messages that say my avast is not up to date and to update. when I try to do so it fails every time. At the moment the update is just sitting in the initialising stage and not progressing… When I check my program it says I am protected. I keep getting the message that update is available and it does this everytime. Can anyone help with this as I don’t know whether I am protected or not .
Thank you

I am having the same problem. I ran a scan and it said it was fine - no viruses but every day I get the pop up saying it can’t do the updates. when I click on it and say to update, it says it’s already up to date and yet still every day I get the notice that it can’t update. I have Vista
Welcome to the Forum.
Have you tried an Avast repair and reboot?
