Avast Updated on 3.31.08 and now my Windows Mail won't send/receive mail

I have been using Avast happily for 6 months with my Windows Vista. Suddenly yesterday, my Windows Mail will open but not send or receive emails. Please help me revert to an earlier Avast or help me fix my current problem. Thanks! Patty

What is your firewall ?
Does it allow ashMaiSv.exe internet access ?

  • If it does delete the entry for it and do a manual check for email, this will force the firewall to ask permission again.
