30 minutes ago I switched on my computer and after a while I noticed a lot of downloading was happening, shortly after, Avast asked for a computer reboot. After rebooting Avast has upgraded itself to 2014.9.0.2008. I have used Avast for years and had the program update setting to ‘ask when an update is available’.
This has never happened before and I was waiting a while to make sure any bugs had been corrected before upgrading to Avast 9, I don’t know why this has happened, I hope it’s a one off.
