it’s about one mounth that my avast (4.1 412) ask me if I want uploud the program, I say yes, but at the end always tell me that there is a link error whit the server (Err:Server download4.avast.com (216.12.202.5:80) is down).
what happen?

There is nothing wrong with the server, nor has it been (to my knowledge) the last month. So the problem is very likely on your system. I suggest the following:
Remove avast, reboot and reinstall. See if it updates.
If not:
1)run a online virus scan
2)run spy-/adware removers
3)check your hosts file(s)
4)check your firewall settings
If that doesn’t solve it, let us know here. In the mean time you can as alternative manually download the update(s) from www.avast.com
Well, even if the server isn’t down, there may be a problem somewhere “on the way”.
I would rather suggest to wait a while and then try again.
Most likely his firewall is blocking access for avast! updates. Check your firewall seetings for application rules… btw, which firewall are you using ?
