I am not receiving the updates pop up and voice each time it update. I am using win 8.1 and avast 2218. I checked the settings and the pop up alerts are enabled
A browse/search of these forums will show that this is now the normal action.
They stopped some months ago.
That WAS helpful Bob (provides a lucid explanation for the change).
Well, then they need to remove that options from settings.
That has also been mentioned in topic discussions as something causing additional confusion.
On a side note: There have been many users posted, hoping the audio announcements would be returned.

It was removed. The other options for voice are for threat detect or scans which the voice still works.

Not entirely correct as there is another area where it mentions it, avastUI > Settings > General > Popups.

Stand corrected. Forgot about the pop up, but the option for the update voice that most people asked for was removed from the list.
