Sorry but your post wasn’t specific - just giving the link and a user going there sees all of the stuff there and it is daunting, hence the OPs comment:
Avast Clear no longer requires that you boot into safe mode and then run it.
It only requires that you run it in regular mode and then allow it to do it’s job in safe mode.
Once you give it permission, Avast Clear will reboot the system into Safe Mode and do it’s job.
Rebooting after the job is finished is required.
Their directions are still incorrect. They haven’t updated those directions to the current capabilities of the Avast Removal Tool.
Running the program in regular mode and allowing it to reboot into safe mode is not the same thing as booting into Safe Mode first and then running the program.
