Avast v8 make computer virtual memory low

Hello…

i’ve just updated my avast to v8, but there is problem with that.

after i update, i restart the computer. then, something bad happen to my computer…

  1. need long time when booting
  2. very very slow response
  3. need very very long time when startup…

i was thought that happening because malware. then i tried to full scan with avast free.
but, the computer stopped response any command (hang) while scanning. before, it show a pop up message that told the virtual memory is low

it’s impossible. my ram is 2gb, plus my vram is 2,5gb ++
it was happening again and again…

then, i tried to remember the software that installed ago. i uninstal that one by one. but it still happen…
but, when i tried to disabling avast, my startup began normal.
the problem is, Is Avast V8 Have BUG?

when i disable avast, my startup be faster. but the booting still slow… (very)
i tried to disable avast when startup, but the access is denied. WHY??

this problem really bad. i hope avast update again the revision of v8 soon.

how about the win 7 or 8??

NOTE: I USE WIN XP SP 3

sorry if my englih fail(bad), but i need the answer soon. i don’t use any anti virus

Did you update via the GUI or do a clean install, if via the GUI then

Download Uninstall Utility to your Desktop.
Download the correct version of Avast
http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe
http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel

[*]Boot to Safe Mode.
[*] Restart the computer.
[*] As soon as BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the Advanced Options menu appears.
[*] Use the arrow keys to select the Safe mode with Networking menu item
[*] Press Enter.
[*]Run aswClear
[*]In the Select Product to Uninstall dropdown choose the version of Avast that is on your system.

[*]Once complete reboot your system to Normal Mode
[*]Reinstall Avast

Check pagefile sys.
Should be set in xp system managed by right clicking my computer. PROPRTIES, ADVANCED, PERFORMANCE, PRESS SETTINGS TAB & PRESS ADVANCED TAB. PRESS VIRTUAL MEMORY CHANGE BUTTON. RADIO BUTTON SYSTEM MANAGED SIZE. & REBOOT
