Avast VPN disabled my wi-fi

Hi there - I’ve tried Avast VPN free trial on my vaio and after the end of the trial my network adapter is disabled. Can’t switch it on in Windows 10.Re-installed Windows 10 (previous Windows 7) and cleaned the registry with CCleaner - no success. The Wi-Fi button under settings cannot be enabled. Help please

Any error in device manager ?

Thanks Pondus - I’ll try Farber.

Eddy - my wireless network adapter is fine but an “unknown device” detected as well…

Hi Pontus - I run the programs with the output files attached.
What can the problem be?

Pardon: typo, I meant “Pondus”

Now be patient and wait for Essexboy to come online and check those logs

There is likely a service/protocol listed in the network properties that avast has placed there.
I can’t recall the name at the moment, but removing it should solve the problem.

Thanks Eddy : not sure how to remove (any) the Avast service protocol? You certainly can tell that I am a real beginner …

Go to control panel > device manager… Are there any yellow exclamation marks

Essexboy > “Eddy - my wireless network adapter is fine but an “unknown device” detected as well…”

This is what I get

Right click the unknown device and select uninstall then reboot

I’ve tried - no luck. I think I’ll go back to Windows 7

Anyway - thanks to all.
