I have used Avast now about a month in windows 10, and lately my internet connection has been occasionally slow also when VPN is off. Today internet totally stopped working, and windows internet diagnostics said “couldn’t create ip for Secureline”. After long trial and error I could finally get some connection by disabling windows defender firewall and adding Secureline to f-secure whitelist. Connection is still very sloppy when VPN is off and many websites need multiple reloading and often create timeouts. Basically internet is almost unusable. When VPN is on, connection is somewhat more stable but still disconnects often.
At the same time my other computer gets internet access totally normally when connecting to the same wifi.
I’ve tried uninstalling Secureline, turning both windows and f-secure firewalls totally off and installing Secureline again. Nothing fixes the problem. It feels like every web page load tries to go through VPN first, even if it’s not on.
