avast VPN

I own avast antivirus expiry 25/2/2018 also own avast secueline VPN expiry 8/4/2018.
I replaced my harddrive and switched from windows 7 to windows 10.
I installed avast on the new harddrive and activated avast antivirus using the activation code.
But there was no activation code available for avast secureline VPN only a downloadable licence which simply does not work.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

If the license file is not working, you need to contact avast.

If you did a clean install of avast and SecurLine VPN (as indicated), the VPN license needs internet connectivity at the moment you double-click the VPN license. It should validate if you are connected when inserting the VPN license file. Internet connectivity is not required for a valid avast antivirus license tho.
