Avast vps site out of date by 2 days.

Very strange to see the version site to be 2 days out of date.

I never bother looking at the site I go by the fact that auto updates are working and if you do a manual check it confirms it, no need to visit the history page.

There are times when the web site takes time to be updated, but I would rather that it doesn’t impede the actual VPS updates.

Fair enough DavidR,

But I like to see the virus names etc just out of curiosity, and I seen it last dated 20/05/08 and I thought to mention this on the forum that’s all.

For me virus names are of little use as there is no standardisation or naming convention for new virus/worm/malware names, so it is very hard to use the information as the names, variant numbering/lettering are likely to be different across different AVs.

The vps history page is out of date, but at least the download page isn’t. http://www.avast.com/eng/updates.html (except that it usually is for me because it’s already half-way through May 23 here ;D )

You think you’ve got problems … quite often they are talking about the future to me. You folks have thoroughly used the day before it reaches us on the left coast of the Americas.
