After 2 days of using AVS, I REMOVED IT ;D
I reverted back to avast after AVS FAILED to detect 2 trojans in a zip file when extracting this file (you must extract>> r-click >>scan).Cosing me a lot of trouble >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
WHILE avast with SS set to “normal” detected & handled the file ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Minacross.

You have been hanging out here long enough to know a bit about AV and AV products. You have heard about the vulnerability window, you know that the makers of malware, also known as “malcreants” test their new virus or worm to go under the radar of the biggest three AV-products. So our advise to everyone, do not use these products to be protected against new malware. There are typical products with a lot of FPs/ Do not use either. You also have read that in general testing terms AVAST is the second best product around, and when you combine AVAST with some non-resident scanners and some online-scanning, and apply DrWeb’s hyperlink browser plug-in to pre-test a link for malware, before actually clicking it, you have covered the whole niece where viruses and worms are concerned. Just add some good anti-spyware programs, disable your admin rights, deny script from running whenever you have no need for it, and do for cookies the same, and you are quite secure. I repeat it again and again. Security is more of an attitude, so learn secure practices.

Maybe on resource consumption: AVS is really “hungry” on it ;D ;D
BTW: It mess up my internet connection when I tried to work with it some time loong ago ;D.
