I’ll be honest, I think these kind of topics are a waste of sodding time.
Asking this kind of question in the avast forums is likely to:
A) get the expected response avast is best which is because they will be using it.
B) normally they degenerate into a pi**ing contest, who can pee higher.
C) virtually the same comments are posted every time, this horse has been well and truly thrashed to death. I think I will save this text for the next one to save typing it again.
D) I don’t care what other people say, I use my own personal experience of over seven and a half years, not chatrooms, etc.
For anyone the AV solution that they choose, what is best, has to suit their needs, what is best for someone else isn’t necessarily going to be best for everyone.

It would be a much more interesting question to get a answer to a question why a particular user chooses avast for his, her or it’s resident antivirus solution? We would learn so much more,

Yes more interesting, but that would be off-topic for this topic and as far as I’m aware this horse has already been felt the whip. I’m certain there is already at least one such topic.
The last thing I want to see is this topic take a change of tack with the topic title would still promote comments A vs B.

Kaspersky is avast! with bit better detection, few more functions, more expansive and can repair broken system functions.
