avast web scanner-service cannot be started

I have been having this error every time I start the computer. For like 15 times in a row before it stops:
(translation of Dutch event log)

Computer: EU-EXPOSED
Description:
Because of the following error the avast! Web Scanner-service cannot be started:
The system cannot find the given path?

I think it causes a small pop-up to occur briefly as well.

Does anybody know how I can remedy this?

Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair). You must be connected to the internet while repairing.

If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?

I repaired and Avast said that the repair was successful. I will wait a bit and see. Thanks for the input. If it doesn’t help I will uninstall, reboot, install and reboot.
