Hi, I’m assuming you are referring to AOS> The issues with Avast Online Security(Browser Protection Option) have been widely reported with what you are describing (with myself as well).
You can disable Avast Online Security Plug in found in Brower Add ons.(as I think you may have done)
OR you can uninstall Browser Protection(AOS) by Control Panel/ Programs/Features and chose Avast then choose ‘Change’ and uncheck ‘Browser Protection’.
If this has been confirmed it would have been nice that Avast sent us a message about this probability or just disabled the feature. I’m now remembering that I had a similar issue in Chrome with a Facebook widget, it only worked after disabling AOS.
And still my email SSL issues every day, also had to disable the deep scan feature and some other issues. Really not happy with AVAST.
I am just a user like yourself, and offered a comment on what I have been reading on the forum.
As far as Avast is concerned, I have no idea what their intentions are with respect to the ‘Browser Protection’ module.
Hi and welcome
Go into “Tool” in your Browser and choose “manage add-ons” or “add-ons” then locate “Avast Online Security” and DISABLE.
That’s it, no total uninstall necessary
