Avast Web Shield exclusion doesn't work

Two questions…

  1. In Web Shield settings I put this site into exclusions:

http://www.demonoid.ph/*

I OK my way out and I still can’t access the above site.
To access it I have to disable Avast momentarily.
What gives?

  1. On the other hand the above is the very known site which I’ve been using for years and I don’t understand why all of sudden Avast decides FOR ME to block it.
    Two days ago Avast didn’t have any issue with the site.

Why would you want to exclude a site that avast is alerting on ?

Just because a site is know to you and you have used it for years doesn’t mean that it can’t be hacked/infected.

This is a torrent site.
I bet if you put any torrent site under your scan it’ll come up as malicious because some torrents may actually be.

I’ve been dealing with computers for almost 30 years and do know exactly what I’m doing so my main question is still valid.
Why my exclusion doesn’t work?
That’s all I need to know.
