Avast Web Shield keeps popping up

I keep getting a warning that Web Shield has blocked access to a page (though it doesn’t block the page)… and it started doing it on different sites all at the same time.

So I think the error is with Avast, not with the sites. The warning is pictured in attachment.

I don’t think it’s a virus, though.

False positive by Avast Web Shield

I got the same error after Updating Avast, Restarting computer and reopening my browser with multiple tabs

its avast bug on sandboxie. just disable scan on webshield https to fix

The warnings have stopped now.

They were coming up on some Twitter pages and on the Klout Measure page

Perhaps Avast was blocking those web sites and you didn’t realize it and I might add for the reason stated, that is that the website “certificate” had “expired”. I’ll get this on rare occasions, but in my case they have been blocked by other security that I have and not Avast and I am given the option to use the website if I so choose.

THey are pages that I visit many times every day.

At one point that stupid warning was popping up on specific pages on unrelated sites…all for a number of hours one day.

And then the warnings stopped.

Avast error.

What I have found is that in cases when this warning message occurs at the same time when multiple webpages are being opened or accessed (multiple browser tabs in use) there can be a enough delay that it can be confusing or should I say difficult to determine which specific web page caused the warning message.

I could tell the specific pages that were popping the warning.

One page at klout. not all the other pages at klout.com. All pages were on the same domain. It made no sense.
