For some reason Web Shield will delay the loading of a site for what seems like an eon. I’ve disabled it (reluctantly) because of this. It’s not all sites, just a few here and there, but it is quite irritating.

I’ve tested with and without Web Shield and there’s definitely a small load lag, but sometimes lag just doesn’t describe it. More like waiting for a bus.

Anyhow, thought I’d mention it.

Can you post a list of that sites with problems?
Which is your firewall? ZoneAlarm?

What is the site (if you can give some examples) ?
Then we can check and see if it effects us in the same way.

Is the site media intensive ?

I’m on dial-up and have precious little bandwidth and I see no appreciable impact of having the web shield enabled.
