That’s what I get here, what do you think needs to be changed about the message?

I will remove the text messages: Based on a user-defined list of blocked URLs

can i edit that?If yes, which file should I be changing in?

Even if it is possible to edit this - I don’t see the purpose of removing this as it is why the Site Blocking is being displayed. If that is removed then essentially no one would know why the site was blocked.

The file template is in this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\HtmlData\Blocked.htm (XP location) you would need to go to the corresponding Users location in Vista or later OS.

It imports information into the variables, so you would need to remove the variable %_TXT% rather than text I believe. However, the avast self defence may need to be disabled or you would have to run notepad as admin to make the the changes.

There is no guarantee that this would work or that avast’s integrity checking (or future updates) wouldn’t replace the file with a default copy.

The only reason you’d want to remove this I can think of is a business environment where the users don’t actually have control over these settings. In these settings you’re not allowed to use Avast! Free though. For businesses there’s http://www.avast.com/en-us/endpoint-protection
