As you can see, Google Reader works fine and avast!WebRep is active.

Bob, the problem is when you have feeds in Google Reader and clicking on the category that expands those feeds. With webrep installed in Google Chrome, the expanded feeds appear “hidden”. Uninstalling the webrep fixes that issue. I hope I explained the core of the issue :slight_smile:

Right. Problem still there … of course.

  • Current date: 1 Juni 2012 (or see message post date.)

  • Google: 20.0.1132.21 beta-m (using default theme.)

  • Avast! WebRep: 7.0.1426 (enabled)

  • With Google Reader is “LIST MODE”, and not in EXPANDED MODE"

Seems bob3160 don’t knows there is a “list view” mode in Google Reader … as he keeps posting “Working for me” screens with Google Reader in “Expanded view” mode. … Wile the word “list” was actually used in the original post.

  • Just in case … (No … just switching modes will probably not show the problem either. You have to try a little harder. Like switching reader subscription after switching to List mode. If that fails … A full Google reader reload would be nice.)

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Log into the Google Reader site with Chrome.

  2. Select a sub-folder that contains RSS feeds.

  1. After selecting the folder, select “list view”. Upper right near the “settings” gear.

Just installed the trial for Avast Internet Security on four different machines thinking I might buy five licenses and move to Avast, and despite being reported on these forums back in December, this problem STILL exists. Very worrisome that nobody from Avast has even commented or acknowledged this problem…makes me very wary of switching to Avast. Using the latest version of Avast and Chrome, FWIW.
