avast webrep broke down

Hello,

since 2 days I have a problem with avast. If I start my browser (google chrome)a box appears in the lower right hand corner that says something like : avast webrep broke down. Click here on that window to start the replacement again.
(I dont know whether I translated it right, in german it saiys: Avast webrep ist abgestürzt. Klicken Sie auf dieses Fenster um die Erweiterung erneut zu laden.)

I have know Idea why it does this, if I click on the window, after a few seconds the box apears again.
I am very thankful for every advice,

try avast repair

contolpanel > ad remove programs > avast > uninstall > repair option > wait a couple of minutes and reboot

any change ?

I tried ur tip, but it didnt work…

hmm I dont really know how to answer thes questions, but I will try:

I have avast free antivirus, version 7.01474,
I have windows 7 home premium, 64 bit, service pack one (if this is what you mean by sp?)
And I have the google chrome version: 23.0.1271.64 m

Additionally a different box comes up now as well and says something like “silverlight plug in broke down” ;(
