I know the avast team is working on it but I was just wandering if there is an ETA by now or a “mailing list” that will automatically notify us of its arrival.

no, nothing like this, but once it is ready it will be announced here on the forums and uploaded for beta testing. the date will actually be quite close (hopefully late April if all goes well)
