avast! WebRep incompatible with Firefox 5.0

I downloaded it from these addresses and it’s called 5.0beta upon install.

If you are on the “Beta Track” you can download the update to 5.0 RC via About Firefox.

5.0 RTW is not yet available. It is still scheduled for release next Tuesday the 21st.

Nothing has changed, essentially it is a game of catch-up for many firefox add-ons when a new version is released.

• The fact that you don’t see the WebRep or doesn’t work with the latest firefox version, doesn’t lessen the avast protection. You still have the Network Shield blocking known malicious sites and the Web Shield pre-scanning http content before it is displayed/run in your browser.

The WebRep is purely reputation based on avast user input. Later when the avast! virus labs start inputting information of detected malware, etc. into the webrep database, then it will be more of a security feature than just a reputational tool.
